- Show Fonts
Show the Fonts palette.

- Font Features
The Font Features submenu changes for each selected font to enable the features available for each specific font to be edited. These features vary from font to font but typically include such items as ligatures, vertical position, letter case, and alternate characters.
- Show Text Ruler
Show the Text Ruler inspector.
- Plain
Remove all text style information (e.g., bold, italic, etc.) from the selected text.
- Bold
Add or remove the bold text style from the selected text.
- Italic
Add or remove the italic text style from the selected text.
- Underline
Add or remove the underline text style from the selected text.
- Condensed
Add or remove the condensed text style from the selected text.
- Extended
Add or remove the extended text style from the selected text.
- Vertical
Add or remove the vertical text style from the selected text.
The vertical text style simply rotates each character with respect to the baseline. To get the proper appearance you may also want to rotate the entire text block 90° using the Rotate Window.
- Align Default
Align the selected text based on the text and paragraph properties.
- Align Left
Align the selected text flush left.
- Align Center
Center the text in a block within the wrap width of the block.
- Align Right
Align the selected text flush right.
- Full Justification
Turn on text justification for the selected text using the wrap width of the block.
- Baseline
- Use Default
Use the default baseline for the selected text.
- Superscript
Use a superscript baseline for the selected text.
- Subscript
Use a subscript baseline for the selected text.
- Ligatures
- Use Default
Use the default ligatures for the selected font.
- Use None
Use no ligatures in the selected text.
- Use All
Use all available ligatures in the selected text.
- Writing Direction
- Default
Use the default writing direction for the selected text.
- Left To Right
Use a left to right direction for the selected text.
- Right To Left
Use a right to left direction for the selected text.
- Path Binding
- Bind Text To Path
Bind the selected text block to the selected path. The specific attributes of the bound text can then be set in the Text attributes inspector.
- Release Text From Path
Release the selected text blocks from the paths they are bound to.
- Focus Bound Path
Focus editing on the path bound to a text block rather than the text block itself.
- Attach Baseline To Path
Cause the baseline of the text to follow the outline of the bound path.
- Multiple Columns
If the bound path has multiple subpaths, flow the text progressively into each.
- Show Path
Draw any path bound to the text behind the text block.
