Chessengines are the computer players you can play with. There are hundreds of Chessengines available on the internet, both free and commercial ones. Chess3D comes with an assortment of some great free chess engines and has one build in chess engine as well. Actually, the chess engines differ in playing style and strength so every chess engine may give you a new playing challenge. You can assign an engine to one or both sides in the Options. If you want to install additional engines, just copy or install the engine into the subdirectory engines of Chess3D. The engine has to support the UCI-Protocol to be recognized by Chess3D, after installing and restarting Chess3D the engine should be chooseable for both sides in the Options dialog.
